Even though our team returned from Intertraffic 2022 over two months ago, we are still reflecting on our time at the world’s largest expo for traffic, parking and road management. While it was definitely an exciting four days in Amsterdam, we feel there were two major highlights: the opportunity to introduce several new products and present our vision for the future of parking guidance to a packed crowd at a convention breakout room.

Next Generation Parking Guidance Presentation – This was our moment in the spotlight

ParkHelp CEO Ed Robinson & COO Alexis Puig were given the opportunity to lead a discussion on the importance of parking guidance technology in the modern world, new developments & opportunities in the post-Covid parking industry, and the next generation of parking guidance technology. Highlights included:

  • Current parking trends: The pandemic forced people to rethink public transportation and embrace driving again. Led by millennials who were raised in an app economy, parkers are now demanding smart parking services, increased safety and security at parking facilities, and more connected experiences.
  • The Missing Link: A challenge facing parking is the disconnect between parking spot Apps and the inability for users to reserve a specific spot. We spoke about major developments that are bridging the gap between the physical world and digital world.
  • Existing Guidance Technologies: Highlighting technology currently in use at places like the Zurich and Barcelona airports, Aeroporto Internacional do Galeão in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the University of Washington and in the City of Anaheim, we discussed ParkHelp solutions like surface and in-ground occupancy detection sensors, vehicle counters, ultrasonic and camera-based sensors, guidance signs, smart lighting and the cloud-based ParkManager parking management platform.
  • New & Emerging Technologies: This was the most exciting part of the presentation – for us and the audience. Ed and Alexis proudly shared information about several new and exciting parking guidance products. This included
    • Next Generation C1 Camera which features in-camera processing, easy installation, battery backup and the ability to monitor up to 6 parking spaces
    • G4 Outdoor Sensor which has electromagnetic and micro-radar dual occupancy detection, DriverID and up to 10-year battery lift.
    • Bluetooth DriverID which works with iOS and Android Apps to securely identify and connect to parking spaces
    • G5 Zero-Installation Outdoor Sensor takes outdoor parking occupancy sensors to the next level by adding a built-in cellular connection, making “no-infrastructure” installation finally possible.

This turned out to be a great event, with lots of audience participation. Definitely one of those “I wish someone recorded it” moments, because it would be great to share it with everyone who couldn’t attend.

Parking Guidance Systems promise to convert our cities into user-friendly environments, decreasing C02 emissions, improving security and providing an easier way for consumers to find a space to park.

New Sensors

Along with the G5 Outdoor Wireless Sensors, ParkHelp proudly introduced several new products at our Intertraffic booth – including an updated Indoor Camera-based Parking Sensor and an All-in-one Ultrasonic PGS.

The ultimate in occupancy detection & license plate recognition, our updated Indoor Camera-based Parking Sensors are the most efficient, easy-to-install sensors on the market. These low-profile, tamper-proof units seamlessly integrate with many vehicle management systems, utilizing the latest open-source, AI machine learning to deliver unrivaled detection accuracy.

All-in-one Ultrasonic PGS – Reliable, low maintenance, easy-to-install and long-lasting, Ultrasonic Parking Sensors by ParkHelp Technologies detect open and occupied spaces and display space availability to drivers. This next-generation, all-in-one sensor is cost-effective and provides accurate and reliable vehicle detection.
